The Social Work and Law Symposium is a meaningful mechanism to bring together justice-oriented leaders, academics, providers, and community members for the benefit of vulnerable and marginalized persons experiencing complex problems that intersect with the legal system. Our leadership seeks to maximize participation and benefit of the symposium by increasing representation from historically underserved communities, justice-involved persons and groups, as well as from persons experiencing temporary financial hardship.

Become a Symposium Sponsor
The Symposium Sponsor supports efforts to provide our Opportunity & Access Scholarship to students, emerging professionals, and community members desiring to attend the annual symposium. Sponsors collaborate with event leaders to select scholarship awardees who are most likely to make practical and effective use of the learning experience offered by the symposium event. The generous support of sponsors strengthens our interdisciplinary community bond that helps to realize our shared vision for a more just society.

Become a Bridge Mentor
Bridge to Justice Brief Mentoring connects seasoned professionals with students and early career practitioners before or after the annual symposium. Bridge Mentors are paired with students and early career practitioners that express interest in their area of knowledge and experience. Mentors provide a one-time session of support that might include career guidance or advice, problem-solving and decision-making support as well as sharing resources or suggestions for identifying a more permanent mentor in their local area who would facilitate success in their academic journey or pursuit of a justice-oriented career.

Through a one-time mentoring conversation, participants can gain insight into career pathways, discuss challenges and opportunities, identify professional resources, and explore strategies for advancing their commitment to justice, advocacy, and social change.

The Opportunity and Access Scholarship supports individuals desiring to attend the annual symposium by reducing financial barriers to participation, creating opportunities for learning, networking, mentorship, and professional growth.
